Located at the northern entrance to Salfit, south of the village of Kifl Haris. Intermittently staffed by the military. The checkpoint includes a gate and a guard booth. From early in the second Intifadah to September 2011, Palestinians were not allowed to travel on the road which connects the district city of Salfit to the villages north of it. Residents of the villages were forced to take a long detour. Since September 2011 the restrictions have been gradually lifted and today Palestinian vehicles and pedestrians are allowed to cross the checkpoint.
