Salem

A crossing point in the Separation Barrier. Serves as the entrance to the Israeli DCO at Salem, where there is a military court, the Land Registry Office, and a small police station. Staffed only during daytime by the military and Border Police. Sujbect to inspection, Palestinians may enter the DCO. During the olive-harvest season and sujbect to coordination with the DCO, Palestinian residents of the village of Zabuba are allowed to cross the checkpoint to reach their lands. As of 29 May 2024: Until October 7, it was also used by Palestinian citizens of Israel traveling to Jenin and back. Since October 7, Palestinian citizens of Israel have not been allowed to cross to access Jenin.
