Until the war, this terminal was staffed 24/7 and Palestinian residents of the West Bank with Israeli entry permits were allowed through. The crossing was shut down on 7 October and remained closed until the end of November. It reopened in December, operating from 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. every morning, with hours extended until 10:00 A.M. since mid-January.
