In the early morning hours of Tuesday, 11 January 2022, dozens of soldiers arrived at the communities of Khirbet ‘Ein al-Hilweh and Khirbet Um al-Jamal in the northern Jordan Valley and passed on foot near the residents’ homes on the pretext that they were training in the area. At the same time, dozens of infantry troops and tanks fired live ammunition near the community of Um al-Jamal and the village of al-Farisiyah. The training prevented area residents from taking their flocks out to pasture. The training in the Jordan Valley continued the following day, Wednesday, 12 January 2022, this time away from dwellings and cultivated fields.
