Kafr a-Dik, Salfit District: settlers damaged and stole olive tree seeldings

On 27 December 2021, farmer Saleh Ahmad (57) noticed a bulldozer digging a trench for laying a sewage pipe to serve the industrial zone of the Alei Zahav settlement, which borders his farmland. The bulldozer dug up an area about 250 meters long and 4 meters wide, destroying some 50 olive seedlings that Ahmad had planted on his land over the last few years. When Ahmad returned the next day, he discovered that about 80 olive seedlings he had left on different parts of his land for planting had disappeared. Security guards from Alei Zahav confiscated Ahmad’s tractor without handing him any order. Ahmad only got the tractor back on 4 January 2022, after the Palestinian DCO intervened.
