Tel Rumeidah, Hebron city center: Two settlers vandalize fence of Abu’ Eishah family’s home and throw stones at it

On Sunday, 6 February 2022, at around 3:30 P.M., members of the Abu ’Eishah family saw two settlers cut barbed wire and tin boards in their fence and invade their garden. The family’s home is nicknamed “the cage house” as they had to cover it with protective materials to defend against repeated settler attacks. When a family member went outside and shouted at the settlers, the two fled to an unmanned military post about 20 meters away and threw stones at the house for several minutes. Two soldiers arrived and then the settlers ran off. The family called the police, who only arrived at around 4:30 P.M. They took photos of the fence and suggested the family file a complaint at the police station. As they have been suffering from settler violence for years with no adequate response by the police, the family saw no point in doing so.
