On 18 March 2022, at around noon, members of the Abu Hayah family heard shouting and noise outside their home. When they looked out the window, they saw dozens of settlers standing on the roof of the Beit Hadassah settlement across from them, chanting slogans against Arabs and throwing stones at their home. One of the stones shattered a window in 12-year-old Mu’tasem’s bedroom. The family shouted at the settlers and called out to the soldiers stationed on the roof of the settlement. Three soldiers went over and made the settlers leave. The latter moved on to throwing stones and empty bottles at an abandoned house on the other side of the settlement. After about 15 minutes, three Border Police officers arrived and the settlers stopped throwing stones. A few minutes later, the officers left and the settlers went back to throwing stones and empty bottles and cursing intermittently until evening. The next day, at 11:00 A.M., three youths from the settlement began throwing stones again at the Abu Hayah home. A family member captured part of the attack on film.
