On 28 March 2022, about 15 minutes after midnight, a group of roughly 20 settlers, accompanied by soldiers, attacked the home of the ‘Odeh family, which is located by the side of Road 60. They also smashed the windows of the family car. When family members came out to drive the settlers away, about eight soldiers who were present at the scene attacked them, beating them with their rifles. The father, Samir ‘Odeh (60), was wounded in the head and lost consciousness, and his son, Muhammad (20), suffered bruises to the body and head. The soldiers called an Israeli ambulance that took Samir to the Huwarah checkpoint. Muhammad was driven to the checkpoint by some local residents. A Red Crescent ambulance then took the two to Rafidya Hospital in Nablus, where they received treatment, including stitches to Samir’s head wound. Father and son were discharged the next day.
