Beit Furik, Nablus District: Settlers backed by soldiers throw stones at minibus driving soccer team, smash windshields, lights and mirrors, board bus and steal personal belongings

On 7 May 2022, at around 5:00 P.M, the ‘Azmut Soccer Club team was traveling home by minibus from training at the Beit Furik stadium. When the bus approached the Beit Furik junction, about five settlers threw stones at it, breaking two windows. The driver continued driving for about 50 meters and then stopped and got out with the team coach to assess the damage. About 10 settlers started throwing stones at the bus again, while soldiers who were there stood by. The settlers also boarded the bus and stole a cellphone from passenger Wissam Thabet (48). Before they left, the settlers broke all the windows of the bus except for two small ones, broke the taillights and mirrors and damaged all four tires.
