On Thursday, 16 June 2022, at around 10:30 P.M., Mansur Dawabsheh (39) and his friend Muhammad ‘Abd a-Sattar (28) were traveling along the main road near the village of Duma. When they were about 500 meters from the village, they noticed a military jeep and a civilian car parked side by side. When they approached the spot, settlers armed with metal batons got out of the civilian car and attacked their car, smashing the windshield and a side window and pepper-spraying the two men. Dawabsheh and ‘Abd a-Sattar managed to escape to the entrance to the village, where they called an ambulance, whose crew gave them first aid.
About an hour later, Yasser and Samah Dawabsheh drove up with their three-year-old daughter and one-month-old baby to the intersection at the entrance to Duma, where their car was attacked by settlers who were standing near a military jeep. The settlers kicked their car, hit it with metal batons, smashed one of the windows and a front headlight and pepper-sprayed the couple and their baby boy. The father sped up and the family managed to escape the attack and reach the medical clinic in Qusrah, where the parents were treated along with their baby, who had difficulty breathing after inhaling the gas.
