Sinjil, Ramallah District: Settlers take over olive grove, fence it off, and drive out owner in presence of soldiers

On 13 August 2022, settlers invaded a three-dunam olive grove belonging to ‘Ata Tawafshah (57), a resident of Sinjil, and put up a barbed-wire fence around it. The military allows Tawafshah to access his land only twice a year, based on prior coordination. When he found out what happened, he went to the grove with several members of the village council. Settlers who were there drove Tawafshah and his companions out in the presence of soldiers. On 21 August 2022, Tawafshah filed a complaint with the Binyamin Police.
