‘Ein al-Beida, Jordan Valley: Settlers attack cars with stones and vandalize vegetable stall and greenhouses while soldiers stand by

On 6 October 2022, at around 4:00 P.M., settlers, some of them armed with knives and clubs, blocked Route 90 near the village of ‘Ein al-Beida, shouted racist slogans and attacked Palestinian cars with stones in the presence of soldiers, who stood by. After the owner of a vegetable stall ran away, the settlers destroyed his produce. The Jordan Valley Settlement Council has confiscated produce from this vendor’s vegetable stall and from others in the past.

The settlers also entered villagers’ greenhouses, located several hundred meters south of the intersection, cut the plastic sheeting and uprooted crops. In clashes that developed between the settlers and residents who came to defend their property, a 16-year-old Palestinian was slightly injured by a stone thrown by the settlers.
