On Friday evening, 14 October 2022, while brothers Hassan and Yihya Shaqqur were finishing harvesting olives in their plot in the Jabel a-Ras area, in the western part of the town, three settlers arrived, some of them armed, and tried to steal three sacks of olives. When the brothers tried to push the settlers off their land, four more settlers arrived in two ATVs, stole the sacks and fled along with the first three settlers.
