She’b al-Batem, South Hebron Hills: Settlers and soldiers try to stop a Palestinian farmer from putting up a fence. After he proceeds, settlers vandalize some of it

On Tuesday, 28 November 2022, Raed al-Jundi (50) started putting up a barbed wire fence around his plot, east of the community of She’b al-Batem. For three consecutive days, settlers arrived at the site, called soldiers, and demanded they make al-Jundi stop. The soldiers detained al-Jundi for several hours each time, and each time, he kept working after the soldiers and settlers left.

On Sunday, 4 December 2022, al-Jundi arrived at his plot of land and discovered the settlers had vandalized about 100 meters of the 1,200-meter-long barbed wire fence he had put up and 40 iron posts.
