On Wednesday, 2 November 2022, ‘Abd a-Rahman ‘Odeh (25), from Huwarah, and his friend, Amin Najjar (27), from Yatma, were making their way home from work in Ramallah in ‘Odeh’s truck along Route 60. As they passed by the northern entrance to the town of Turmusaya, settlers who had been hiding behind trees by the roadside pelted them with stones. The settlers broke the truck’s windshield and a side mirror and damaged the body. About seven soldiers who were standing at the intersection of the Shilo settlement, a few dozen meters away, did not intervene. ‘Odeh drove to the Za’tara checkpoint, where the soldiers suggested he file a complaint with the police, but he decided it would be pointless.
