On Wednesday, 16 March 2023, at around 9:30 A.M., members of the Abu Jundiyeh family noticed a settler armed with a steel bar with his flock in their cultivated farmland north of the community of Kh. a-Tuba. The family alerted activists. About 30 minutes later, Salah Abu Jundiyeh went over with an activist and the two filmed the settlers. The settler assaulted Abu Jundiyeh, hitting him in the abdomen with the bar and pepper-spraying him in the eye. The activist helped Abu Jundiyeh return home, and from there, he was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Yatta. He was treated and discharged that same day.
Also on that day, the settler went to the family’s home, escorted by soldiers and police officers who confiscated the activist’s camera memory card.
