On Thursday, 6 July 2023, around 5:00 P.M., about 20 settlers arrived at Route 90, near the entrance to the village of ‘Ein al-Beida, and attacked passing Palestinian cars with stones. Around 30 minutes later, about 50 village residents gathered at a distance of about 300 meters from the entrance to the village and burned tires in protest of the attack on the cars. A confrontation between the Palestinian residents and the settlers ensued, during which the two groups threw stones at each other. Several villagers were injured and treated on the spot.
At that point, Israeli soldiers and police officers arrived and chased the Palestinian residents while attacking them with tear gas up to a distance of about 50 meters from the village houses. Local residents suffered gas inhalation and were treated at the scene. The clashes continued for about three hours, at which point the soldiers and police officers took off, leaving behind the settlers, who continued to attack cars on the road until late at night.
The settlers smashed the rear window and windshield of one of the cars and the side window of another, damaging its body as well.
That night, settlers attacked Palestinian cars near the villages of Bardalah and Kardalah in the northern Jordan Valley as well.
