Wadi a-Siq, Ramallah District: Israeli settlers attack Palestinian car passengers and smash the car’s rear window

On Monday, 11 September 2023, in the evening, when three Palestinians were riding in a car on their way to visit family in the Wadi a-Siq community, two settlers drove behind them at high speed and honked their horn. The Palestinians, who were afraid of the settlers, pulled over, and so did the settlers. One of the settlers got out of the car, picked up a stone and smashed the rear window of the Palestinians’ car with it, then drove away. The Palestinians continued on their way to the community and tried to call the Israeli police, which initially refused to come. Ultimately, police officers agreed to meet them at a nearby intersection, where they took their statements and checked the car. The officers then suggested they file a complaint at the police station, which the three did the next day.
