Al-Jiftlik, Jordan Valley: Israeli settler runs over sheep belonging to a Palestinian, kills eight, steals four of them and injures others

On Monday, 23 October 2023, at around 5:00 P.M., while Hassan Ka’abneh (41) was leading his flock home to the area of Tell a-Samadi in the village of al-Jiftlik, a settler approached him in his car, stopped for a moment, then sped into the flock, ran over and killed seven sheep and injured others. One of the injured sheep died later. When Ka’abneh shouted and begged the settler to stop hurting the sheep, the settler pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot him. The settler loaded four of the dead sheep onto his car, and as he drove away with them, a military jeep and a police car arrived. The police officers suggested Ka’abneh file a complaint with the police and then just left.
