Al-Khader, Bethlehem District: Israeli settlers destroy agricultural structures and uproot about 2,000 olive trees and grapevines

Ever since the war broke out, the military and settlement guards have denied al-Khader residents access to their agricultural lands near which the settlement of Neve Daniel was built.

On Wednesday, 1 November 2023, some residents managed to sneak into their lands. They discovered parts of abandoned ancient residential buildings had been destroyed, as well as agricultural buildings and two water cisterns that were still in use. Two solar panels had been smashed and destroyed. The residents contacted the Palestinian DCO the next day, and it forwarded the matter to the Israeli DCO, which responded that the Civil Administration had not carried out any demolitions in the area. This indicates that the property was vandalized and destroyed by settlers.

On Sunday, 26 November 2023, Palestinian residents managed to reach their lands again, this time discovering that settlers had uprooted about 2,000 olive trees and grapevines in a 15-dunam plot (1 dunam = 1,000 sq. meters).
