Sara, Nablus District: Olive harvesters were driven out by settlers, and again the next day by settlers and a soldier who chased them to the village outskirts and fired at residents, injuring one (two incidents)

On Friday, 20 October 2023, village resident Muhammad Abu Hussein, 58, went with his wife and their three children to harvest olives in their groves west of the village.

About half an hour after the family arrived at their land, a car stopped by the roadside about 200 meters away and three settlers got out. One of the settlers approached Muhammad, informed him it was forbidden to harvest during wartime, and threatened to shoot him if he and his family did not leave immediately. The family quickly loaded their equipment onto their tractor, attached the mat carrying the harvested olives to the back so it trailed behind the tractor, and left.

On Friday, 27 October, around 9:00 A.M., the family went to their grove with several other residents to continue picking their olives. They found about five armed settlers and a soldier there, who drove them out and chased them until the outskirts of the village, where the settlers and the soldier fired at them and at homes. The soldier shot Suhaib Amin, 20, by his home, injuring him in the leg. The gunfire also damaged a window in the Turabi family's home.

As of 17 December 2023, no one in Sara succeeded in harvesting their olives due to the settlers' threats.
