Gochia Checkpoint

On 7 October 2023, the military closed the gate at the Gochya checkpoint, which was installed west of the settlements of Beka’ot and Ro’i to limit the movement of Palestinians living in communities east of it to their district town, Tubas, and to the only source of flowing water available to them, in Khirbet ‘Atuf. Until 7 October, the military also used the checkpoint to inspect Palestinian laborers working in settlements. Until January 2024, no Palestinians were allowed through. Since then, soldiers have opened the gate in the morning and at irregular hours during the rest of the day.
