Kisan, Bethlehem District: Soldiers and settlement guard threaten and beat shepherd

On Sunday, 4 Feb. 2024, around 3:00 P.M., Fadi ‘Abayat (21) was grazing his flock west of the village of Kisan when a car drove up and stopped about 70 meters away. A settlement guard known to ‘Abayat got out of the car, along with two soldiers and a female settler. One of the soldiers pointed his gun at ‘Abayat, and the guard called him in Arabic to come over. When ‘Abayat reached the group, the other soldier kicked him in the leg and the guard hit him on the head with a gun and ordered him to get out and not come back. The bruised ‘Abayat gathered his flock and went home.
