Khirbet Emneizal, Masafer Yatta, South Hebron Hills: Israeli settler riding ATV scatters flock and soldiers detain Palestinian shepherd for several hours

On Thursday, 14 March 2024, a settler riding an ATV entered pastureland east of Khirbet Emneizal and scattered the flocks of two community residents. Israeli activists who were there called the police, but a police officer who came to the area refused to reach the site of the incident. The settler spoke with the officer and called soldiers, who arrived and showed the shepherds a map, alleging the area was inside a security zone of a settlement and the military base Metzudot Yehuda. The soldiers detained one of the shepherds on the spot for several hours.
