On Saturday, 16 March 2024, three settlers arrived at the valley were Ahmad Jaber (38) was grazing his flock and drove the sheep towards another flock, in order to mix up the two flocks and scatter them. The shepherds and Israeli activists who were there tried to prevent the flocks from mixing. Then another settler arrived, filmed the activists and the shepherds, swore at them and threatened to call the Israeli Police. The shepherds called the police themselves. At that point, other activists arrived, as did soldiers, Border Police officers and an Israel Police officer. The Border Police officer talked to the Civil Administration and then drove the flocks north of the valley, claiming Palestinians were not allowed to graze sheep there. After the activists insisted on being told the precise boundaries of the territory, the officer admitted that the Palestinians were allowed to be on the land they were in before.
