Sinjil, Ramallah District: Israeli settlers attack a Palestinian home with stones, smashing the glass panes of 11 windows and spraying graffiti

On Tuesday, 20 February 2024, at 2:00 A.M., four settlers arrived at the house of Ahmad ‘Awashreh (35), which is part of a cluster of houses located across Route 60, in the eastern neighborhood of the village of Sinjil. The settlers attacked the house with stones, smashing the glass panes of 11 windows, and sprayed the word “revenge” and a Star of David on the fence and gate of the home. When family members woke up and went out to defend their property, they saw the settlers fleeing in a car. The family contacted the Palestinian DCO and an Israeli police car arrived about half an hour later. Police officers inspected the damage, took pictures of it and suggested the family file a complaint at the Binyamin police station. ‘Awashreh said he was afraid to go there and asked the police to take his complaint on site, but they refused.

On 16 January 2024, settlers smashed the windows of three cars belonging to the ‘Awashreh family.
