Um Safa, Ramallah District: Israeli settlers run over four sheep belonging to a Palestinian, killing three. Two days later, one of the settlers threatened the shepherds while they were grazing in the area.

On Friday, 23 February 2024, around 4:00 P.M., while Musa ‘Abayat (63), from ‘Atarah, was grazing his sheep in pastureland owned by his family next to Route 465, near the village of Um Safa, three settlers arrived in a car, ran over four sheep, killing three of them, and then left.

On Sunday, 25 February 2024, at around 2:00 P.M., while brothers Musa and Muhammad ‘Abayat (65) were grazing their flock of 40 sheep in the same pastureland, a settler who was grazing a flock of sheep about 200 meters away went up to them, demanded they leave and threatened to break their legs.

On 30 August 2023, settlers stole a donkey from the ‘Abayat brothers’ pastureland.

Muhammad ‘Abayat contacted the Palestinian DCO and was told to file a complaint at the Binyamin police station, but he saw no point in doing so.
