Burqah, Nablus District: Israeli settlers set fire to an agricultural structure and farm fields and broke saplings belonging to Palestinians. Soldiers fired live rounds and tear gas at residents attempting to defend their property

On Monday, 27 May 2024, at around 4:00 P.M., while Maher Salah (30) was working on his land on the northern side of the village of Burqah, dozens of masked settlers armed with clubs and iron pipes arrived, escorted by about eight soldiers. The settlers set fire to an agricultural structure and furniture inside it, torched wheat fields and broke 16 fruit tree saplings.

The soldiers fired live rounds and tear gas canisters at local residents who came to defend their property. No one was hurt by the soldiers, but one resident fell while fleeing and broke his hand. He was taken to Rafidya Hospital in Nablus, where his hand was put in a cast.
