On Wednesday, 21 August 2024, around 7:30 A.M., a resident of the Um Nir community saw three settlers, one of whom he recognized from the area, grazing sheep and dismantling a fence that surrounded the land of the Jabour family.
Activists who arrived at the scene began filming the settlers from about 300 meters away. When the settlers noticed them, they covered their faces, got into their vehicles, and sped towards the activists, who fled toward Khirbet Susiya.
When the settlers saw residents of Khirbet Susiya gathering, they turned their vehicles around and drove to the home of Abu Sayel a-Nawaj'ah, located north of Khirbet Susiya. The settler recognized by the residents got out of the vehicle, stood in front of the gate, shouted and threatened the family, claiming that one of them had called the activists. The settler threatened them not to go past the road separating the agricultural land from the nearby outpost.
The family called the police, who arrived but did nothing.
