On 27 October 2025, at around 1:00 P.M., eight masked settlers came, carrying clubs and wearing gloves, to the home of Wafa and Mahmoud Daramin in the Wadi Ejheish area near the town of a-Samu’. The couple and their four children, the youngest a six-month-old baby, were in the yard and Mahmoud was praying.
When the settlers arrived, the family fled inside and locked the door behind them. The settlers spread out around the house and in an attack that lasted about 10 minutes, one of them tried to break down the front door while shouting in Arabic, “Open the door!” Others smashed the windows and sprayed pepper spray inside. Other settlers smashed the windows of the family’s car and damaged their security camera.
Several settlers broke into the family’s sheep pen, killed 10 sheep, severely injured four others and set fire to a bundle of hay.
The family, and especially the children, struggled to breathe due to the pepper spray.
The attack went on until Mahmoud Daramin’s brothers arrived, at which point the settlers fled toward the settlement of Susiya.
An ambulance arrived and took the family to Yatta Governmental Hospital, where they were treated with oxygen masks.
