Wadi a-Rakhim, South Hebron Hills: Israeli settlers set fire to a vehicle and other property

On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, at around 3:00 A.M., ‘Omar Shnaran, 56, woke up to loud dog barks and immediately saw that his car was on fire. Shortly afterward, he saw a group of settlers heading toward a tractor parked near the house and trying to set it on fire too.

Shnaran began shouting in an attempt to drive off the arsonists, waking up his family. The settlers then fled toward the home of his neighbor, Muhammad Musa Shnaran. On their way, they set fire to an awning installed on the fence of the house.

‘Omar Shnaran and his family immediately began putting out the fire to stop it from spreading and called the police. Officers who arrived at the scene suggested that they file a complaint at the police station in Kiryat Arba.
