On Sunday, 11 November 2024, at around 3:00 P.M., dozens of masked settlers arrived at homes on the northeastern edge of the village of Yasuf. The settlers attacked the homes with stones and set fire to olive trees. When residents came out to defend their property and extinguish the fire, clashes broke out, with both sides throwing stones.
About 30 minutes later, soldiers arrived and threw smoke grenades toward the houses. The settlers gathered near the soldiers, who then fired tear gas canisters at the residents, forcing them to disperse and retreat. A firetruck arrived within several minutes and extinguished the fire. A Border Police force also arrived, and the settlers left the area, while soldiers and officers remained until 5:00 P.M.
When residents asked the officers why they did not arrest the settlers, they replied that the settlers could not be identified because they were masked.
